Payment processor compliance
VenueFuze never touches cardholder data. Every transaction routes through your organization's chosen processor — your customers deal with that processor's checkout, and the processor handles PCI scope, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and payouts.
How we handle data
We collect only the data needed to issue your ticket / process your donation:
- Your name + email (so we can email the receipt and ticket QR)
- Order total + item summary
- A processor-issued payment reference so we can confirm payment
We do not store: full card numbers, CVVs, expiry dates, or billing addresses. Those land directly in the processor's PCI-DSS scope.
If you paid with Stripe
Stripe processes the card. Their terms and disclosures govern the card-data side of the transaction.
If you paid with PayPal
PayPal handles the checkout, the funds movement, and the buyer protection program.
If you paid with Square
Square processes the card, issues the receipt, and manages chargeback handling.
Disputes & refunds
If you need to dispute a charge or request a refund:
- Contact the event organizer first. Their email is on the event page footer and on your order confirmation. Refunds for tickets and auction items are at the organizer's discretion per their own refund policy.
- If you can't reach them, escalate to the processor. Stripe, PayPal, and Square each have their own dispute flows linked above. They can reverse a charge on your behalf.
- VenueFuze platform support: venuefuze@zafronix.com. We can help mediate but we don't hold the funds and can't issue refunds directly.
