Accessibility

VenueFuze is built so that everyone — organizers, volunteers, and attendees — can buy tickets, join memberships, check in, and run events without barriers. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time checkbox, and we improve it continuously.

1. Our target

We design and build VenueFuze to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA: sufficient color contrast, keyboard-navigable interfaces, adequate tap targets (44×44px on touch), visible focus states, form labels and error messaging, and screen-reader-friendly markup. The product is mobile-first, and the offline-first QR scanner and attendee wallet are designed to work on modest devices and flaky venue Wi-Fi.

2. On-page accessibility tools

Every page includes an accessibility button (the “♿” control in the bottom-left corner). Opening it lets you, without an account:

  • Increase or decrease text size (90–150%).
  • Turn on higher contrast.
  • Underline all links.
  • Reduce motion and animation.
  • Switch to a more readable font.

Your choices are saved on your device (no account, no tracking) and apply across the whole site until you reset them. These preferences sit on top of your browser and operating-system settings — for example, if you already have “reduce motion” enabled at the OS level, we honor it too.

3. Standards & assistive technology

We test with keyboard-only navigation and common screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA) and use semantic HTML and ARIA where it adds meaning. We aim to support the current and prior major versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile.

4. Known work in progress

Some areas — richer data tables, the seating-chart editor, and third-party embeds such as maps and payment windows — are still being brought fully in line with our AA target. We prioritize fixes that remove real barriers for real people.

5. Report a barrier
